Torpee MAG

TORPEE-MAG is a comprehensive electromagnetic insertion flow meter with multiple electrodes distributed across its body, reporting the average flow rate throughout the full diameter of the measured pipe. The unique design of this multi-electrode electromagnetic flow meter allows it to calculate variable flow profiles, including turbulent and agitated conditions, and enables calibration-free on-site installation.

TORPEE-MAG can be installed without shutting down the system, draining, or cutting pipes (Hot-Tap installation). It requires no flange welding and can be installed in pressurized pipelines up to 17 bars. The installation costs are significantly reduced without the need for heavy equipment (cranes, etc.) or multiple manpower. Economically, TORPEE-MAG stands out as the most cost-effective solution for measuring flow in medium and large pipe sensor applications, drastically reducing installation expenses.

TORPEE-MAG excels in confined spaces, can be submerged in water, and provides full accessibility. It is suitable for pressurized pipes, allowing easy inspection, cleaning, and calibration separation. Especially beneficial for cost-effective applications, TORPEE-MAG is available in two sizes, designed for use with 1.5 or 2-inch ball valves. The TORPEE-MAG 1.5-inch version accommodates pipe sizes from DN100 to DN1500, while the TORPEE-MAG 2-inch version covers pipe sizes from DN1000 to DN2500.
