After two years of effort, Bove engineers have successfully produced the next generation of ultrasonic water meter, BECO X.

BECO X is a modern and innovative measuring tool that reduces overall energy consumption by up to 18%. With the same battery volume compared to previous models, BECO X offers measurements over a longer period with various communications to customers.

Thanks to the remote reading and control system Alpaca-E, the BECO X product can collect and analyze water consumption data from millions of users. Bove engineers optimize the metrology of tools and their communications using this voluminous data. Water and wastewater companies can also upgrade and optimize their water supply networks with the help of this valuable water consumption data sent by BECO X.

“BECO X” supports multiple communication protocols for both wired and wireless methods, making it suitable for any installation environment. For example, MBus/Modbus RS485/Pulse/LoRaWAN. Its leak detection function inside the meter helps with troubleshooting, ending periodic services, and saving on the most vital resource, water.

“BECO X” has no moving parts and has an IP68 protection rating. Its body is made of durable brass materials. This robust design makes BECO X maintenance-free and accurate, with a flexible battery life of 10 to 15 years (depending on customer needs).
